Comment: The picture doesn't do it justice. There is velcro between each 'slice' so it actually sounds like you are slicing something when the wooden knife cuts them apart. What a pleasant surprise! Very durable

Comment: This was a Christmas gift for my 21 month old daughter. Both she and my 6 year old son have a great time with the food. It is held together by velcro, and where the velcro connects is where you can "cut" it... genius! They cut it up and make vegetable soup in her new play kitchen. This toy has only one cutting board and knife. So be forwarned, you may need another cutting board and knife if you intend it to be shared by two children. Overall a great value and great fun.

Comment: Toddlers love to play kitchen and the play knife that is in the box makes the "cutting" seem real to kids. The velcro (scratchy and soft) helps them to learn how to put them together as well as arrange the pieces in the proper order. She'll be playing with this for a long time.

Comment: My 2.5 year old loves it! Very durable. She loves pretending to slice the veggies and we both love how it makes almost a real slicing sound when you cut the food. We got it to go with her play kitchen, but this is a great toy all by itself. When people are over she will cut the pieces one by one and offer a piece to each guest. So cute!

Comment: My son is 2.5 and he adores this food set. Of all the food items that we have, this is definitely his favorite! He loves to cut up the food and prepare meals with it. This set has really encouraged our son's interest in food and cooking.
Just a note, one of the other reviewers said that this comes with 2 cutting boards and 2 knives, but this set actually includes only one of each.
