Summary: Not a gift all children like.
Comment: I purchased several of these and only one child enjoyed doing the papers and having it published. There were also a few hidden cost when published. Parents may enjoy composing some of their childrens papers but this is not kid friendly.

Comment: This product gives a child the opportunity to practice his/her writing skills and use his/her creativity and imagination. I gave this to my nephew and his parents worked with him on it. The bonus is to have it return in hard copy. It can be treasured for years to come.

Comment: My boy and girl 5 1/2 year olds both enjoyed writing their own story and coloring the pages. They could not wait until it arrived in the mail. I will keep this and give to them when they are older!

Comment: My 6 year old niece loved this gift. Her own book - how can you beat that! And it is something that is creative, simple and does not involve the television or other technoligical gimick. No batteries, no repeditive strange noises! I am going to remember this gift idea for the future. A great product I can feel good about spending my money on.

Comment: I bought this for my 6 year old daughter who loves to write stories. She worked on it with her father, we sent it away in the prepaid envelope, and the look of joy that she had when she received her professionally bound book was priceless. It contains the pictures that she drew printed on each page, and the words have been typeset. We even paid the extra $2 or so to have her picture on the author page and that was the icing on the cake. It was a fun project for my husband and daughter to do, but I think that it might have been a little difficult for a 6 year old to do all on her own due to the requirements of staying within certain lines. Otherwise I think this product is AWESOME!
